Type Locality and Naming

Blue Nile Basin, Southeast Sudan and Northwest Ethiopia. The Gohatsion Formation (the Lower Limestone Member of Jain, 2019) is exposed at Mugher (Jain and Singh, 2019).

350m of glauconitic shales with alternation of gypsum (some layers are massive), shale and dolostone. (Jain and Singh, 2019).
